A whopping 294 of those who received our email signed the petition to the Washington County Commission and the Hillsboro City Council urging them to reject the North Hillsboro Urban Renewal District!

Reading their many comments is a heartwarming experience, so we thought we’d share the experience with you. You can read the comments here.

The city council makes their final decision December 1st. Hopefully the petition and these strong comments, as well as and the testimony of the twelve of us who spoke before them on Tuesday, November 17th, will bend their decision towards reason.

On another note—Tax Fairness Oregon is trying something new this year.

#Giving Tuesday. Do you know of it?

The idea is to ask for donations on the first Tuesday of December and see how many donations we can raise in a single day, and avoid the emails and phone calls to our friends and supporters for the rest of December.

Will you help us and donate on that day? We’ll be sending out an email on Tuesday, December 1st and posting on Facebook—with a Donate button, so you’ll be reminded it’s “the” day to give.

Thanks again for your help with our goal of tax fairness.
